Thomas M. Jackson Jr. grew up in Wythe County on a family dairy farm where his ancestors settled in the late 1700’s. As a child, he watched as a major highway was built through the middle of his family farm, despite his family’s protests. This inspired him to pursue a career in the law, working on the side of those who need help fighting for their legal rights. He has been a practicing attorney in Virginia since 1982.

Founder of The Jackson Law Group, formerly known as Jackson and Associates, he has an active trial practice that includes both federal and state court cases. His casework spans personal injury and wrongful death, criminal representation, civil suits, representation of landowners in condemnation cases, and Social Security disability. He has extensive experience in real estate, from litigation of boundary lines and right of way disputes to handling complex real estate closings. He has also developed expertise in the area of wills and estates, having consistently served over the years as Estate Administrator or counsel for estates. In recent years he has expanded his practice to include estate and Medicaid planning for the elderly.
